Actor Siddhant Kapoor, brother of Shraddha Kapoor and son of Shakti Kapoor, was detained in Bengaluru on Sunday night for allegedly consuming drugs. According to ANI, the Bengaluru Police raided a party in a hotel on MG Road. Samples of people suspected of consuming drugs were sent for medical tests. Siddhant is among six people whose samples turned positive. He is presently in custody, the ANI report adds.

Siddhant made his acting debut in the crime film Shootout at Wadala (2013). He has since appeared in Ugly, Haseena Parkar (with his sister Shraddha), Paltaan and other films.

In 2020, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had questioned several actors in a drugs-related probe following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Shraddha Kapoor was among the actors questioned by the NCB.
