Koffee With Karan 7: Samantha Ruth Prabhu talks about equation with Naga Chaitanya

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who made her debut in talk show Koffee With Karan on Thursday, opened up about her equation with her former husband and actor Naga Chaitanya.

The show, which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar features filmmaker Karan Johar as the host. In its third episode of the seventh season, Karan hosted actors Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as guests.

During the episode, while Karan referred Naga Chaitanya as Samantha’s “husband”, the latter was quick to correct him as “ex-husband”. Samantha was also quizzed about her relationship with Chaitanya and when asked if they are amicable, she said, “You mean if you put us both in a room, you'd have to hide sharp objects? Yes, as of now.” However, she also added hopefully, “but it maybe sometime in the future.”

When asked about how she is doing after the separation, Samantha said, “It has been hard but it's good now. It's fine. I am stronger than I have ever been."

As seen from the show, one could see how Karan seem to dedicate a significant portion of the show, to talk about the actor’s marriage and separation. While Karan said that he does not prefer to ask about the reasons of separation, Samantha clarified that he had already asked her off camera and that he only meant not to ask while the camera is rolling.

The show also featured Samantha jokingly reprimanding Johar about portraying marriages on screen. “I have a bone to pick with you Karan. You are the reason for unhappy marriages. You have portrayed life to be K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham). In fact, the reality is KGF,” Samantha said.

The actor also spoke about the rumours she saw on news reports, post her separation of getting alimony of Rs 250 crores.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha is currently busy with Yashoda, Kushi, and Shaakuntalam.
