Ranbir Kapoor confessed his love for Pushpa while promoting his period action film Shamshera

In a promotional video for Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor said he wished he had done the role of Pushpa

As Shamshera is gearing up for release on 22 July, Yash Raj Films have kickstarted their social media promotions. In a video posted on their Twitter handle, Ranbir Kapoor was given a handful of puppies to play with while he answered a series of candid questions.

To the question “What is a role you wished you had done recently?” Ranbir wasted no time in answering that he would have loved to play Allu Arjun’s Pushpa.  This might not be a surprise since Pushpa enjoyed a huge commercial success recently.

After captivating the Telugu audience, Pushpa also had a stellar response from film lovers across the country. It went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film in 2021.

Ranbir Kapoor is not the only Bollywood celebrity to be impressed with the Telugu blockbuster. Previously, Jhanvi Kapoor, and Karan Johar took to Twitter to shower praises on the movie and its cast.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera, made by Yash Raj Films, is scheduled for a theatrical release on 22nd July. The period action film is Yash Raj Films 50th outing and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
