Trailer of Rudra, Ajay Devgn's debut series, to drop tomorrow

The trailer of Ajay Devgn's debut web series Rudra, backed by Applause Entertainment, will drop on January 29.

The show, set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, is an adaptation of Luther, a popular British series starring Idris Elba. Ajay essays a cop tracking down complex crimes in Mumbai. "Crime is officially out of time," reads a caption.

Rudra also features Esha Deol in the cast. Esha and Ajay were co-stars in Yuva, LOC: Kargil, Main Aisa Hi Hoon, Kaal and Cash.

Speaking about his first series, Ajay had earlier stated, "Playing a cop on screen is not new to me, but this time the character is more intense, complex and dark. What drew me most to his persona, is that he is possibly the greyest character you may come across in recent times."

Ajay recently appeared on Into The Wild With Beat Grylls (on Discovery+). He has also produced the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar series The Great Indian Murder.
