Anushka Sharma starts prepping for Chakda Xpress
The film is based on Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami
We had earlier reported about Anushka Sharma starring in Chakda Xpress, which is based on Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
Earlier in the day, Anushka took to her social media handle to share a glimpse of her preparation. She posted two pictures, one close up shot of the ball in her hand and the other being her bowling action from the nets.
Chakda Xpress traces Jhulan Goswami's inspirational journey as she moves up the ladder despite the roadblocks posed by misogynistic politics to fulfill her dream of playing cricket for India. She went on to serve as the captain of the Indian women's national cricket team. Jhulan still holds the world record for the highest number of wickets taken by a woman in an international career.
Chakda Xpress marks Anushka's return to films after her pregnancy. The film, which will stream on Netflix, is directed by Prosit Roy and written by Abhishek Banerjee,.
As per reports, the team will soon be heading to the UK for a 30-day schedule.
