Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami are gearing up for the release of their new show Duranga-Two Shades of a Lie. The series is a remake of the Korean show Flower of Evil. Gulshan plays Sammit, a suspected serial killer in the show, while Drashti is in the role of Ira, his wife, and the cop investigating the case.

This is the first time both the actors are working together. Talking about the experience Drashti says, “It was amazing working with Gulshan. He helped me a lot when I got stuck in my scenes. He is a fabulous actor.”

Drashti further reveals a thing about Gulshan not many people know, “He gets grumpy if you ask him to shoot after 10 pm.”

“It’s dinner time and he just wants to eat then and nothing else,” she adds.

When asked if they have seen the original Korean series both actors replied in the negative. “I didn’t want to get influenced by it,” says Gulshan. “We wanted a fresh and imaginative take on our roles,” adds Drashti.

Talking about what excited him about the role, Gulshan says, “I liked the pitch given to me and in particular the part of Sammit, who is delightfully complex and I didn’t know how to play him, and that was exciting to me.”

Duranga, directed by Pradeeep Sarkar and Aijaz Khan, and produced by Goldie Behl and Shradha Singh, will premiere on ZEE5 on August 19. It also stars Abhijit Khandkekar, Barkha Sengupta, Rajesh Khattar, Divya Seth, and Zakir Hussain among others.
