Delhi Crime S2 trailer out; Shefali Shah and team on the trail of ‘kaccha-baniyan’ gang

The trailer of Delhi Crime season 2 was released on Monday. Shefali Shah returns as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi to solve another case from the heart of the capital city. The first season of the Emmy award winning series, which premiered in 2020, fictionalised the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case.

The trailer shows Vartika and her team on the trail of a ‘kaccha-baniyan’ gang. The criminals oil their bodies to give chasers a slip, commit robberies and kill their victims using iron rods and axes. Richie Mehta, who directed the first season, has turned creator this time. The new set of episodes have been directed by Tanuj Chopra and written by Mayank Tewari, Shubhra Swarup, Ensia Mirza, Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh and Virat Basoya.

The cast also includes Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Aakash Dahiya, Sidharth Bhardwaj, Gopal Dutt, Danish Husain and Yashaswini Dayama. Delhi Crime season 2 will premiere on Netflix on August 26.
