In a recent interview, Jhanvi Kapoor revealed that Nayanthara had some good words to say about her performance after watching the trailer for Good Luck Jerry. The recently released film is itself a remake of Nayanthara’s 2018 film Kolamaavu Kokila.

Jhanvi had reportedly messaged Nayanthara after hearing that she liked the Good Luck Jerry's trailer. Nayanthara’s reply, which delighted the actor, says 'Best of luck. I am rooting for you. Proud of you for doing such work early in your career.'

The actor, who played the lead in the original, further complimented Jhanvi by saying "Kokila is so close to my heart, and watching the Good Luck Jerry trailer brings me so much joy, what an entertaining ride the audience is in for, there couldn’t have been a better Jerry! Good Luck Jahnvi!."

Good Luck Jerry is a dark comedy film with crime-drama elements, it is directed by Siddharth Sen while Pankaj Matta has rewritten the script from its original Tamil version. Apart from Jhanvi Kapoor in the lead, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh. The film premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 29 July 2022
