Actor Pratik Gandhi (Scam 1992) says he felt 'humiliated' after he had to walk to a shooting location in Mumbai on Sunday evening. He was pushed into 'some random warehouse' by cops and told to wait out the traffic, Pratik claims.

The city witnessed traffic disarray last evening amid Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to receive the first Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar award. The crucial Western Express Highway (WEH) connecting the north-south suburbs was jammed due to the movement.

In a tweet, Pratik wrote, "Mumbai WEH is jammed coz of “VIP” movement, I started walking on the roads to reach the shoot location and Police caught me by shoulder and almost pushed me in some random marble warehouse to wait till without any discussion. #humiliated."

When someone informed him that the Prime Minister was visiting the city, Pratik replied with, "Oops I didn’t know.”

Pratik is presently shooting for Phule, a biopic of Jyotirao Phule. Patralekhaa essays his wife Savitribai Phule.

Lata Mangeshkar passed away in February this year. Her family has introduced an award in the late singer's memory. It will be given to one individual each year for notable contributions to the country.
