Prabhas' Adipurush to release on August 11, 2022

After the Maharashtra government’s decision to re-open theatres in October, filmmakers and production houses have started to block the release date for their films in full swing. Prabhas' pan-Indian epic film Adipurush is one of the first films to announce the release date, post the clearance from the government. The film will hit the screens internationally on August 11,2022.

The latest take on Ramayana features Prabhas as Rama(Adipurush), Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana (Lankesh). Directed by Om Raut, the multi-lingual drama will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The team has been extensively shooting for the movie in Hyderabad.

Produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles, Adipurush has music by Sachet–Parampara and cinematography by Kharthik Palani.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s Raksha Bandhan, directed by Aanand L Rai has also been announced to release on the same date.
