Jacqueline Fernandez was briefly stopped at Mumbai Airport by authorities on Sunday. The actor was about to catch a flight to Delhi for a show when she was stopped. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had recently issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against her.

The LOC was issued in connection with the conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion and money laundering case. Jacqueline was let go after brief questioning and was informed that she would have to appear before the probe agency in Delhi. The ED will issue fresh summons to her for questioning at the Delhi office today for questioning.

The probe agency had earlier filed a charge sheet against Sukesh Chandrashekhar and others in the 200-crore money laundering case. It is alleged that he extorted Rs 200 crores from a businessman's wife while he was lodged in Tihar jail. They had also found evidence showing financial transactions from Sukesh Chandrashekhar to Jacqueline.

It is reported that they both have been talking to each other since January 2021. Sukesh used to speak to Jacqueline over the phone even when he was in jail. Reportedly, he has also gifted her expensive gifts worth Rs 10 crores, which includes diamond-studded jewellery sets, four Persian cats, and a horse worth Rs 52 lakhs.

Apart from Jacqueline, the ED has also called actor Nora Fatehi to join the probe.
