Trailer of The Crown season 5 out

The trailer of the fifth season of Netflix web series The Crown was released by the makers on social media on Thursday. The series will premiere on November 9.

This season's trailer shows the glimpse of the season that seems to be packed with conflicts and hurdles for the Royal Family. The fifth season will see the separation of Princess Diana and Prince Charles after their turbulent marriage and her untimely death during the Paris car crash. The series will feature Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, while Imelda Staunton will take over from Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II. Others part of the cast are Dominic West (Prince Charles), Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret) among others.

The fifth season is set against the backdrop of the 1990s, The Crown will feature the death of Diana, the challenging time for Windsors, tabloid scandals of Prince Andrew and Prince Charles.

The Crown is inspired from the historical events based on the dramatized story of Queen Elizabeth II, the personal and political events that shaped her reign. Notably, this is the first season to premiere after the demise of Elizabeth, who died in September.

The Crown will come to an end with the sixth season.
