A still from Nope

The first trailer from Jordan Peele's Nope is out and it teases a horror film with terrifying twists and turns. The film that is slated to release on July 22, features Daniel Kaluuya in the lead role. He is collaborating with Peele after their 2017 hit Get Out. The other cast members to join Kaluuya in the film includes Keke Palmer and Oscar nominee Steven Yeun of Minari.

The arching plot and theme of the film are still under the wraps, but the trailer hints at it being a psychological horror that will see an overlapping of themes such as race and society from a social perspective. This is Peele's third directorial feature after Get Out and the 2019 film Us starring Lupita Nyong'o.

Michael Wincott, Barbie Ferreira, and Brandon Perea are the other members of the cast of this film. Speculations so far suggest that the film is about the residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who witness an uncanny, chilling discovery.

Nope is bankrolled by Monkeypaw Productions and Universal Pictures, with Peele and Ian Cooper attached as producers.
