The trailer of Kaleidoscope, the upcoming Netflix anthology series was released by the makers on social media on Tuesday. The series will premiere on January 1.

The trailer opens with a group of heist members planting explosives at various parts of an area, while they also plan for a heist, by breaking open one of the safest vaults in the world. It is to be noted that the series can be watched in any order.

Previously titled Jigsaw, and built-in non-linear fashion, audiences can select the order in which they watch the series and the story would still make sense.  It is said that the series is loosely inspired by the real-life story of $70 billion worth of bonds going missing in Manhattan.

Created by screenwriter Eric Garcia, the first two episodes of the series are directed by José Padilha, who directed the Robocop remake in 2014. Kaleidoscope will consist of eight episodes, with each named after a colour. The cast comprises  Giancarlo Esposito (as leader of the group Leo Pap) with Paz Vega, Rosaline Elbay, Jai Courtney, Peter Mark Kendall, and Jordan Mendoza starring as a group of thieves. Rufus Sewell plays the antagonist.
