For the first time, The Batman is being portrayed as unhinged and even self-destructive. The trailer, which was released on December 27 increases the hype surrounding the first Batman film starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role. The film has also garnered attention for introducing Riddler (Paul Dano) and his portrayal. The taunts that are thrown Batman's way come from two sides -- the villain and the people that he saves while he works as a crusader by the night.

Zoë Kravitz portrays the role of Catwoman in the film and she works alongside Batman. The trailer teases tension between the two of them and it is always about what drives each of them. For Catwoman, it is vengeance. Batman, however, is trying hard to make his mission all about justice.

The Batman also stars Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell among others. The DC movie is helmed by Matt Reeves who also co-wrote it along with Peter Craig. The cinematography, the brilliance of which was also noticed by the fans is by Greig Fraser.

The Batman is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on March 4, 2022.
