Money Heist spin-off series Berlin gets release date 

Berlin will focus on the titular character's planned heist to steal €44 million in Paris

We had earlier reported that a spin off prequel series of the Money Heist character, Berlin, is in the making at Netflix. The streaming platform has now announced that the series will premiere on December 29.

Berlin will focus on the titular character's planned heist to steal €44 million in Paris. The makers also released the trailer of the series which shows the past of the jewel thief who has been leading a carefree life. However things go haywire when he gets involved with the wife of the person he is targetting to steal from.

Berlin was one of the central characters in the Money Heist series, who appeared as Professor's brother and mastermind of the heists planned. A famed jewel thief, Berlin was portrayed by Pedro Alonso, who will reprise his role in the prequel series.

Berlin is created by Esther Martínez Lobato and Álex Pina, with David Oliva, David Barrocal, Esther Martinez Lobato, and Álex Pina serving as writers. The cast of the series include Michelle Jenner, Begoña Vargas, Julio Peña, Tristán Ulloa, and  Joel Sánchez  among others.
