Andrew Garfield and Daisy Edgar-Jones have been cast in an upcoming film, Voyage. The film is credited as the biopic about the real-life love story of famous astronomer Carl Sagan and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Ann Druyan. Directed by Sebastián Lelio, Voyage will feature Garfield and Edgar-Jones as Sagan and Ann Druyan, respectively.

Penned by Sebastián Lelio and Jessica Goldberg, Voyage tells the story in 1977, during NASA's preparations to launch the interstellar Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 missions. A team led by Sagan embarks on a mission to create messages, such as images and sounds representing the human essence, to greet extraterrestrial life. These messages are widely known as the Golden Record. However, what began as a professional task paved the way for the unification of Sagan and his colleague, Druyan.

Meanwhile, Garfield and Edgar-Jones previously co-starred in an American limited series, Under the Banner of Heaven. Garfield has a slew of acting credits in his name, including his Oscar-nominated performance from Tick, Tick … Boom! (2022) and Hacksaw Ridge( 2017). The actor will next be seen in We Live in Time opposite Florence Pugh.
