We had earlier reported that the writers in Hollywood are going on a strike after their demands were not met production houses and studios. As a result, Marvel Studios’ much-awaited film Blade, starring Mahershala Ali, has been facing delays in its production.

Members of Writers Guild Association (WGA) are on a strike and have been demanding more wages, better working conditions and other amenities. As per The Hollywood Reporter, pre-production of Blade was temporally shut down due to the writers strike leading to delays in film's shoot.

Blade is directed by Yann Demange, and also features Mia Goth. It is backed by Marvel Studios’ head Kevin Feige and is based on the original Marvel Comics characters. Recently, True Detective writer Nic Pizzolatto came on board as writer,

Blade revolves around the iconic vampire slayer who is half-mortal, half-immortal, and trying to free the world from vampires as a way of avenging his mother, who was killed by a vampire as she gave birth to him.
