Spider-Man trilogy set to return to Netflix

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is all set to return to Netflix in April. The trilogy left the streamer a few months ago. While there were reports that the trilogy was to find a home on Disney+, it was announced that will be returning to Netflix.

All MCU films are available to stream on Disney+. However, as Spider-Man's rights are with Sony, all the films, including the Tom Holland ones are on Netflix. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher, and The Defenders were among the popular Netflix Marvel programs that moved to Disney+ when the licensing agreement ended.

The Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire was a fan favourite and is frequently cited as helping to establish the current superhero genre. Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, J. K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane, Alfred Molina as Dr Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, and Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko/Sandman are just a few of the movie's strong actors.

The fourth instalment of the franchise was scrapped due to Sony's significant production issues, and instead, Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield were cast as the new web-slinger in The Amazing Spider-Man trilogy. After creating two films, Sony chose to stop because they wanted to share the rights with Marvel Studios.

Holland made his Spider-Man debut in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and quickly won over the younger crowd. In the MCU, Holland's take on the web-slinger has had many adventures, including his trilogy and fighting alongside the Avengers against Thanos. Knowing that the MCU planned to introduce the multiverse, Garfield and Maguire were brought back as different versions of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, thereby becoming a part of the MCU universe.

The Spider-Man Trilogy is available on Netflix starting April 1.
