Deadpool 3 to begin filming in London

The production of the third film in the Deadpool series is to begin in London this Spring. While the first two films in the series were shot extensively in Vancouver, Deadpool 3 will be majorly filmed across London. 

Deadpool 3 will be the first R-rated film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Hugh Jackman starring as Wolverine, it will be his final appearance as the character. The film is helmed by Shawn Levy who has worked with Ryan in Free Guy and The Adam Project, while he worked with Hugh in Reel Steal.

Previously, in an interview, Hugh Jackman revealed details about the revival of Wolverine in Deadpool 3. The actor said, "All because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines, now, we can go back because it's 'science'. And so I don't have to screw with the Logan timeline, which was important to me, and I think probably to the fans, too."

The device he is talking about is the time-travel device invented by Bruce Banner with the help of Ant-Man’s technology in the Avengers: Endgame. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War where Thanos uses the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe away half the life in the universe, the surviving members of the Avengers team use the time travel machine to reverse the snap.

Apart from Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool 3 will also star Emma Corrin in a negative role. More casting announcements and details about the plot are yet to be revealed by the team. Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release on November 8, 2024.
