Emily In Paris Season 4's shoot delayed due to writers' strike

Earlier, British-American actor Lily Collins teased that there will be a fourth season of the rom-com series Emily In Paris. She hinted that the upcoming season will have more drama.

The latest update is that the filming of the upcoming season is delayed due to the ongoing writers' strike. The production was supposed to start in late summer or early fall in Paris. However, it has been delayed by two months, according to Variety.

The show follows Lily's character Emily as she brings the American perspective to a marketing firm in Paris. The series also explores her romantic adventures.

While fans have been asking for the fourth season, in an earlier conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said, "I just know that there's gonna be obviously more drama, more laughs and more fashion and more travel." It may be noted that the third season premiered on December 21.

It may be noted that the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike is due to an altercation between the guild consisting of 11,500 writers and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The strike, which began on May 2, has led to the biggest interruption to American television and film production since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It is also considered to be the largest labour blockage for the WGA since the 2007–2008 strike.
