Hayao Miyazaki's last film How Do You Live to not have promotional material

Japanese studio Studio Glibli has revealed that there will be no trailer or any sorts of promotional material made available ahead of Hayao Miyazaki's last film titled How Do You Live.

The film is set to hit the theatres in Japan on July 14, with the international release date yet to be announced.

Ghibli’s lead producer Toshio Suzuki was quoted as saying, "As part of company operations, over the years Ghibli has wanted people to come see the movies we’ve made. So we’ve thought about that and done a lot of different things for that purpose — but this time we were like, ‘Eh, we don’t need to do that. Doing the same thing you’ve done before, over and over, you get tired of it. So we wanted to do something different.”

While the makers are guarded about the film, the studio had earlier described as "a grand fantasy" and loosely inspired by Japanese writer Genzaburo Yoshino’s 1937 novel How Do You Live? The book is, a coming-of-age story, concentrated on the development of a young boy in the aftermath of his father's death. The studio has released only one poster so far, focusing on a bird's face. The film's cast, setting and plot have not been revealed.
