New teaser for The Super Mario Bros. Movie features Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong

The makers of The Super Mario Bros. Movie released a new teaser recently. It features Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. It also has Mario donning his catsuit from Super Mario 3D World.

The teaser shows Chris Pratt's Mario in a one-on-one fight with Seth Rogen's Kong. After the first fall, Mario puts on a cat costume, and the fight ends with Rogen's bellowing laughter and a menacing message directed toward Mario; "Now you die." 

Created by the Japanese video game company Nintendo, the first game was released in 1985. Over the years, the franchise became a global phenomenon. It currently has around 20 games in the franchise.

Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic directed The Super Mario Bros. Movie based on Matthew Fogel's screenplay. The film also stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Charles Martinet. 

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is currently scheduled to release on 7 April 2023.
