Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery achieved the best single week for a film in the history of Nielsen's rankings. Nielsen is a global leading company in the market of audience insights.

According to Deadline, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery broke the Nielsen streaming record in the US. During the film's first full week on Netflix from December 26 to January 1, it brought in 2.89 billion minutes. Previously, Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney+ held the record with 2.73 billion minutes for its opening week.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the sequel to director Rian Johnson's Knives Out premiered on Netflix to critical acclaim. The film presented a new over-the-top investigation for Daniel Craig's eccentric detective Benoit Blanc to solve the mystery.

Nielsen’s weekly streaming ratings have been recorded for a bit over two years now, but they are limited to covering only viewing on TV sets. It does not include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices, and takes only US audiences into regard.
