The absence of Amanda Seyfried at the Award ceremony of The Golden Globes, despite winning Best Actress in a Limited Series for Dropout, raised curiosity among the viewers. It has been speculated now that the actor was in a workshop for a musical adaptation of the 1991 film Thelma and Louise. Reports also suggest that Evan Rachel Wood has joined Seyfried in the project.

Thelma and Louise (1991) starred Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon as two friends who set out on a law-breaking road trip. Brad Pitt had left a remarkable debut and the film went on to land Callie Khouri an academy award for best original screenplay as well. The film deemed as a classic in its depiction of women-gaze narratives.

Seyfried's Dropout is an American biographical crime drama,  created by Elizabeth Meriwether, where the actor played Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of disgraced biotechnology company Theranos. Seyfried previously starred in musical films, Mamma Mia 2  and Les Misérables.

Meanwhile Rachel wood has showcased her musical talent in Across The Universe and Frozen 2, where she played the mother of the princesses Anna and Elsa.
