Fantastic Voyage actor Raquel Welch passes away

Raquel Welch, known for her portrayal of Cora in the sci-fi film Fantastic Voyage (1966), has passed away at the age of 82. Her family members delivered the news of her passing, confirming that she passed away due to a brief illness. 

Raquel also appeared in Don Chaffey's One Million Years B.C. in the same year as Fantastic Voyage. Her role in the film made her a legendary sex symbol, and in 1995 she earned a spot on Empire magazine's list of the '100 Sexiest Stars in Film History.'

In 1973, Raquel Welch won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role as Constance de Bonacieux in The Three Musketeers. For her performance in Right to Die directed by Paul Wendkos, she received a Golden Globe nomination in 1987. 

The actor appeared in a few films in the 2000s, namely Legally Blonde, Tortilla Soup, Forget About It, and How to Be a Latin Lover. Her Television credits include The Hollywood Palace, The Virginian, Bewitched, The Baileys of Balboa, Scandal in a Small Town, Trouble in Paradise, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and American Family, among many others.
