It's a wrap for first season of Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians

The filming for the first season of Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been wrapped up, the makers announced on social media.

The project went on floors sometime in June 2022. The series is based on Rick Riordan's famous novel series by the same name and revolves around the titular character, a 12-year-old who seems to be living a normal life, until his mother reveals the truth that he is a demigod. To protect him, Percy is sent to Camp Hald-Blood where he can around children similar to him.

While films have already adapted the novel, the series is being currently in making after Disney+ green lit it in 2022 for the first season. Rick along with Joe Steinberg penned the pilot episode with James Bobin directing it. 

The season stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, ance Reddick, Toby Stephens, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Megan Mullally, Jason Mantzoukas, Adam Copeland, among others.

A release date for the series is yet to be announced.
