Night Court, the rebooted sequel of the 80s and early 90s sitcom of the same name,  has been renewed for a second season at NBC. The series' pilot episode came only on January 17 this year and has been renewed in just three weeks. 

Announced in December 2022, Night Court stars Melissa Raunch as Abby Stone. The reboot connects to the original series with Abby Stone who is the daughter of the original series' lead Judge Harry Stone played by Harry Anderson. Abby follows in he father's footsteps and becomes an unwavering judge herself. She works during the titular night court at a Manhattan criminal court and presides over weird cases with weirder people. 

Melissa Rauch also serves as an executive producer alongside Winstone Rauch and Dan Rubin, with the former also serving as the writer of the series. The rest of the cast includes India de Beaufort, Kapil Talwalkar, and Lacretta. 

Season 2 of Night Court has no release date or window announced yet. The next episode of Night Court season 1 will air on February 7.
