Emmy Awards 2022: Zendaya wins Outstanding Lead Actress for Euphoria; Becomes youngest two-time Emmy winner in history

In 2020, she became the youngest recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Lead Actress in season 1 of the drama series

Zendaya, the American actor, has scripted history by becoming the youngest two-time winner of Emmy Awards. She took home the award for the Best Lead Actress in the drama series category for her performance in Euphoria

Earlier in 2020, Zendaya first won for Euphoria and now the 26-year-old becomes the first black woman to bag the Emmy for the lead actress in the drama series twice.

According to Variety, the actor in her winning speech said, "My greatest wish for Euphoria was that it could help heal people, and I just want to say thank you to everyone who shared their story with me. I want you to know that anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like you are a Rue, I’m so grateful for your stories and I carry them with me and carry them with her. Thank you so much.”

Meanwhile, Zendaya was also nominated for Euphoria Season 2 under the Best Actress in Drama Series and for producing and writing original lyrics for two songs featured in Euphoria Season 2– I’m Tired and Elliot’s Song.
