Charlie Cox on what to expect from Daredevil: Born Again

At Disney’s D23 Expo, Charlie Cox talked about reprising his role as the visually challenged vigilante lawyer Daredevil. The actor first appeared as the superhero in the Netflix series Daredevil which first premiered in 2015. The show went on to become a critically acclaimed success, running for three seasons until its cancellation in 2018.

Amid speculation about whether the actor might continue to play Daredevil, he reprised his role with a cameo appearence in Spiderman: No Way Home, thereby cementing his place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Soon after his big-screen appearance, Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that Cox will continue to play Daredevil, and fellow Daredevil co-star Vincent D’Onofrio was also confirmed as MCU’s Kingpin.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, which happened in July of this year, Kevin Feige officially confirmed that a new Disney+ series titled Daredevil: Born Again was in the making with Charlie Cox and a number of his Daredevil co-stars set to reprise their roles, with new showrunners and writers attached to the project. Now, at D23, Cox revealed that the new series will not be a continuation of the Netflix series and will be a fresh start for the character.
