Official poster and synopsis out for Black Adam

The official poster and synopsis for the upcoming DC film Black Adam have just been released online. The poster captioned ‘Power born from rage’ shows us the ensemble cast of the film including Pierce Brosnan’s doctor fate, Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher along with Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman.

The official synopsis reads “In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam (Dwayne Johnson) was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man to myth, to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern-day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone,”

Black Adam was originally written as an antagonist for Shazam and later evolved into an anti-hero. The film is directed by Orphan fame Jaume Collet-Serra while the script is written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani. With Dwayne the Rock Johnson as the lead, the film also stars Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan. The film is currently scheduled to release on 21 October.
