Zack Snyder sends message to Henry Cavill on his return as Superman 

In a recent interview, Henry Cavill was shown a video message from director Zack Snyder. The filmmaker expressed his happiness in seeing Henry Cavill's return as Superman in the DCEU (DC Extended Universe). The video, which also shows Cavill’s heartwarming response to Snyder’s comments, quickly went viral online.

In the video, Zack Snyder could be heard saying, “I can’t wait to work with you in the future and you are of course the greatest Superman,” It is unclear at the moment, whether director Zack Snyder would return along with him. Responding to the video, a visibly happy Cavill says, “He’s a lovely man and I’m enormously appreciative of him, especially for casting me in Man in Steel. Those are formative years of mine. I remember them fondly.”

Henry Cavill, who first played Superman in Man of Steel in 2013, was expected to appear in more DC films as a connecting character but due to the poor box office response of Joss Whedon’s Justice League and Zack Snyder’s strained relationship with Warner Bros, Cavill’s future as Superman in the DC universe was left in the dark. 

After years of uncertainty, it has now been confirmed that Henry Cavill would reprise his role as Superman in the upcoming DC films. Cavill recently had a cameo appearance in the recently released DC film Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson in the lead. It is unclear at the moment, whether director Zack Snyder would return along with him.

Henry Cavill recently wrapped up the shoot for the third season of Netflix’s Witcher while Zack Snyder is busy filming his upcoming space opera film, Rebel Moon.
