Filming of The Equaliser 3 begins

It has officially been announced that production has commenced on the third part of the hit action franchise, The Equalizer. Led by Denzel Washington, who plays Robert McCall, a former US Marine who is forced to take up violence once again, the third part will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, who helmed the first two films.

The announcement about the project's production came from the Twitter handle of the film's distributor, Sony Pictures. "Denzel Washington and Director Antoine Fuqua are back for The Equalizer 3, joined by Dakota Fanning and Gaia Scodellaro. Now in production on the Amalfi Coast, Italy," the post read, while sharing the pictures of the film's primary cast.

The third film will have new additions to the cast in the form of Dakota Fanning and Gaia Scodellaro. Their characters, however, remain in the wraps. Further details related to the plot and cast are expected to be announced shortly.

The Equalizer 3 is set to release in September of 2023.
