Vikings: Valhalla season 2 to release on this date

Netflix has confirmed the release date and released first-look images from the second season of Vikings: Valhalla. According to reports, the second season will premiere on 12 January 2023. Created as a sequel to the hit Netflix series Vikings, Vikings: Valhalla was created by Jeb Stuart while the original series was created by Michael Hirst.

Taking place in the 11th century, the show is based on a number of legendary real-life Vikings like Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdotter, and Harald Hardrada along with the Norman king William the conqueror. The series premiered in February of this year and following a phenomenal critical reception, Netflix quickly renewed the series for two more seasons. 

The cast of the series includes Leo Suter, Frida Gustavsson, Laura Berlin, Sam Corlett, Bradley Freegard, Pollyanna McIntosh, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. Along with creating the eight-episode series, Jeb Stuart also acts as the executive producer of the show.
