Teaser trailer of Obi-Wan Kenobi out; Ewan McGregor returns to Star Wars with a bang

We had previously reported that Disney is working on a Star Wars spin-off series titled Obi-Wan Kenobi starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. The teaser trailer of the series was released earlier today.

Set 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, the series will concentrate on the journey of Kenobi (McGregor) after winning a duel with his troubled apprentice Anakin Skywalker (Christensen). While the series is also expected to focus on Skywalker's transformation into the infamous Darth Vader, the teaser trailer doesn't give us a glimpse of the imperial lord. 

Obi-Wan Kenobi also stars Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. Actors Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse are also on board and they will reprise their roles as the family who raised a young Luke Skywalker in Tatooine. 

The series is scheduled to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from May 25.
