Science fiction author Philip K Dick gets a biopic

Late American science fiction author Philip K Dick is set to get a biopic on his life, according to media reports. The biopic is titled Only Apparently Real.

Philip, whose works such as Blade Runner and Total Recall, have been converted into films.

The upcoming film is backed by Jon Shestack, with Paul Williams writing it. It is also written by Michael Richter, who is also backing the film.

Only Apparently Real will focus on the break-in that took place at Philip's house in 70s. At that time, the author's fourth divorce was ongoing, while struggling with writer's block, and could have been spied by the US' government.

While it is not yet decided who will wield the megaphone for the biopic, the film is expected to go on floors in 2022, in California, the place where Philip also resided when the break-in took place.
