Author George RR Martin skips House of Dragon premiere after testing Covid positive 

Author George RR Martin had to skip the Los Angeles premiere of House of the Dragon, a spin off series of Game of Thrones after he tested positive for Covid-19.

George, the creator behind the fantasy action drama, tested positive for the virus after he appeared for the presentation of the upcoming spin-off series at San Diego Comic Con. It is to be noted that the author had addressed about Covid-19 and how he had been practicing protocols and social distancing.

During the event, the author also said that he is currently working on The Winds of Winter, the long-awaited, penultimate work to his Game of Thrones series. He had also added that he had not been visiting the sets or production until he finishes the book.

Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapotchnik are the co-executive producer and co-show runners of House of the Dragon.

House of the Dragon is set to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on August 21.
