Andrew Garfield expresses interest to play Spider-Man in future installments

Spider-Man: No Way Home has opened to packed theatres and positive critical reception, grossing over $1.4 billion worldwide in its three-week run so far, but the appearance of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as previous iterations of the superhero proved to be a bigger delight for the fans of the franchise.

After denying his involvement in the multi-verse project for months, Andrew Garfield has finally opened up about the experience of shooting for the film. In an interview with Variety, the actor also revealed that he is open to exploring his character further, should he be given the opportunity. "I mean, yes, definitely open to something if it felt right. Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are all about service, to the greater good and the many," Garfield said. "If there was an opportunity to step back in and tell more of that story, I would have to feel very sure and certain in myself."

Sony's producer Amy Pascal had confirmed ahead of No Way Home's release that Tom Holland will be returning for a new Spider-Man trilogy that's currently in development, but a film featuring Garfield's version of the character is yet to be announced.

Apart from web-slinging, Garfield was recently seen in The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Tick Tick... Boom. He has two shows titled Under the Banner of Heaven and Brideshead Revisited coming up.
