Quentin Tarantino is reportedly in talks to director episodes of FX limited series Justified: City of Primeval. The show stars Timothy Olyphant, and the revival of the show was ordered in January, and reports suggested that Olyphant would reprise his role as US Marshal Raylan Givens.

The FX show is inspired by Elmore Leonard's book titled City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit. Givens is a character who appears in many of Leornard's books including Fire in the Hole.
If talks succeed, this project would mark Olyphant and Tarantino's second collaboration after the two worked together in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tarantino is a known admirer of Leonard's work and he has previously adapted Rum Punch by the author for the big screen with the 1997 film Jackie Brown. He also optioned a few more of the author's titles.

The official logline of Justified: City of Primeval reveals that the FX show picks up with "Givens eight years after he left Kentucky behind. He now lives in Miami, a walking anachronism balancing his life as a US Marshal and part-time father of a 14-year-old girl. His hair is grayer, his hat is dirtier, and the road in front of him is suddenly a lot shorter than the road behind.”

The writers on the show are Dave Andron and Michael Dinner, and they also executive produce the show along with Olyphant, creator Graham Yost, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Peter Leonard, Taylor Elmore, and Chris Provenzano. The series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions.
