Billions, which has emerged as one of the longest-running shows, has been renewed for another season by its network Showtime. According to Variety, the show has been renewed for season 7. The show is currently being streamed on Disney+ Hotstar and it stars Paul Giamatti and Maggie Siff among others in the lead roles of Charles "Chuck" Rhoades, Jr, and Wendy Rhoades respectively.

Season 6 of Billions picks up in the face of Axe's (Damien Lewis) absence. The latest season premiered on January 23 and a new episode is aired every Sunday. This season also marks the first one without the show's original cast member, Lewis. In the aftermath of Axe's absence, his position was taken over by Michael Prince, portrayed by Corey Stoll. He was promoted as a season regular during the season 5 broadcast.

All the players in the show -- Wags (David Costabile) to Wendy (Siff), Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon), Sacker (Condola Rashad), and of course Senior (Jeffrey DeMunn) -- must now look for new alliances to survive in the game and Chuck must come up with a different strategy. With a new conflict on the horizon, the rules and the ground is all different. The news of the show being renewed for a new season also indicates that the current season will end on an exciting note.

Billions is created and executive produced by  Brian Koppelman and David Levien. They also serve as showrunner and executive produce along with Beth Schacter. Andrew Ross Sorkin is also one of the creators of the show.
