Netflix cancels Blockbuster after season one

Blockbuster consisted of 10 episodes

Blockbuster, the American comedy series which premiered on Netflix in November, has been cancelled after the first season.

Based on American home video and video game rental services, Blockbuster is a workplace comedy series that starred Randall Park as a manager of the fictionalised version of the brand. The series was created by Vanessa Ramos and also featured Melissa Fumero, Olga Merediz, Tyler Alvarez, Madeleine Arthur, among others.

Blockbuster consisted of 10 episodes, with each spanning for about 26-28 minutes. The series opened to mixed response. Blockbuster had John Davis as the executive producer alongside John Fox.

It is to be noted that Blockbuster adds itself to the list of single season series that have been facing the axe by the streaming platform. Earlier, Mike Flanagan's The Midnight Club and The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself got cancelled after the first season.
