Henry Cavill, who announced that he will not be returning as Superman, will not be returning for the fourth season of The Witcher as well. The actor had played Geralt of Rivia for the first three seasons after which Chris Hemsworth will be taking over for the fourth season.

Henry had announced his exit from The Witcher soon after he confirmed to return as Superman.

In an interview with Variety, Netflix's head of US and Canada scripted series Peter Friedlander had said, "Henry is an extraordinary Geralt and I think Liam will continue and also be an extraordinary Geralt. There has been a legacy of amazing, iconic characters where the actors have changed and we’re hugely optimistic about this. We will continue to honor the IP, the fans, the storytelling, all the way through.”

Henry made his last appearance as Superman in the recently released Black Adam.

The Witcher is a fantasy drama which streams on Netflix. Based on the book series by the same name, The Witcher is set in a medieval inspired land and follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter who is mutated and his journey in a world where people are wicked than beasts. The third season, which will feature Henry, will stream in mid 2023.
