Emily Blunt joins Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy

Universal is adapting the classic 1980s TV series The Fall Guy as a feature film with Ryan Gosling as the lead. Emily Blunt has now joined the cast. David Leitch is directing the film, which is targeting a March 1, 2024 release date.

Drew Pearce, who worked with David Leitch on Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, is adapting the script and also serves as executive producer. Leitch is producing with partner Kelly McCormick via their 87 North along with Guymon Casady, who will produce through Entertainment 360. Production for the film is set to begin in Australia soon.

Emily Blunt recently wrapped production on the Christopher Nolan film Oppenheimer, which also stars Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Matt Damon. She was last seen in Disney's Jungle Cruise opposite Dwayne Johnson. She is currently shooting for the Netflix film Pain Hustlers opposite Chris Evans.
