"No new cast members for the final season of Stranger Things," say showrunners

The Showrunners of Strangers Things have revealed that they don’t want to add new cast members for season 5. Duffer Brothers, who created the show, talked about how they wanted to focus only on the original cast for the final season.

The show is known for adding new cast members for every season who went on to become fan favourites. Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, and Sean Astin are some of the popular additions to the cast, with Joseph Quinn’s Eddie being the most recent addition.

The show recently released its fourth season split into two, with the first half of episodes releasing in May and the second half releasing in July. The fourth season ended with all the main characters getting back together. The principal cast of the series includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Matthew Modine, and Paul Reiser.

Reports suggest that Duffer Brothers are planning to develop a spinoff series that takes place in the world of Stranger Things. The official premise for the spinoff series says, "A new stage play set within the world and mythology of Stranger Things."
