Knives Out 2, the sequel to the hit 2019 murder mystery has wrapped up production.

Writer and director Rian Johnson took to Twitter to announce the news, while also complimenting Leos Carax's Annette. "We just wrapped production on the next Benoit Blanc mystery and also I finally watched Annette and holy shit it’s amazing. Sending so much love and gratitude to our INCREDIBLE crew and cast and Leos Carax!" read the tweet.

Knives Out 2 brings back Daniel Craig as the fan-favourite detective Benoit Blanc. The sequel also stars Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline and Jessica Henwick.

The film was reportedly shot at locations on the island of Spetses, at Greek Riviera in Porto Heli, and at locations in Greece.

Knives Out, produced by Media Rights Capital and distributed by Lionsgate, earned more than $300 million worldwide. The film featured a massive ensemble cast including Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, and Christopher Plummer.

Early this year, Netflix acquired the rights for two sequels of Knives Out with a clause that both the sequels should be anchored by Craig and must have at least the budget of the original.
