Donald Sutherland, Jaeden Martell to star in Netflix's Mr. Harrigan's Phone

Jaeden Martell and Donald Sutherland will lead Netflix's Mr. Harrigan's Phone, which is based on a short story by Stephen King. It is from the writer's latest collection of novellas If It Bleeds.
Mr. Harrigan's Phone is about a young boy Craig, living in a small town, who befriends an older, reclusive billionaire Mr. Harrigan. When the man passes away, the boy discovers that not everything dead is gone and finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone that was buried with him.
John Lee Hancock will write and direct the horror thriller. Jason Blum is producing with Murphy and Carla Hacken. Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold, and Scott Greenberg serve as the executive producers.
The film wIll start production later this month and Netflix plans to release it in 2022.
