Delroy Lindo on board Marvel's Blade

Actor Delroy Lindo, best-known for his roles in Da 5 Bloods, Battlecreek, and Malcolm X, has joined the cast of Marvel's upcoming superhero film, Blade. The casting was officially confirmed recently by the studio.

The film stars Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali in the titular role. Lindo is the second actor to join the cast of the film, but his role is currently under wraps. 

Bassam Tariq, whose directing credits include These Birds Walk and Mogul Mowgli, will be helming the film, while Stacy Osei-Kuffour will be scripting it. The film is set to enter production in July 2022.

Lindo's other acting credits include Heist, This Christmas, and Malicious, among others. He was most recently seen in Netflix's western drama, The Harder They Fall.
