Yellowjackets renewed for second season 

It has been announced that the horror thriller Yellowjackets has been renewed for a second season. Reports suggest that the first episode of the show was watched by over 4 million people across all platforms of Showtime.

The show follows its main female characters in two different time periods: after a plane crash during their high school days, and as adults dealing with the trauma they have experienced. The show stars Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci and Tawny Cypress in the lead roles.

The supporting cast includes Ella Purnell, Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Nélisse, Steven Krueger, and Warren Kole.

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, who also served as executive producers, Yellowjackets currently holds a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Jonathan Lisco is co-showrunner and executive producer.
