Jason Statham to headline thriller film The Bee Keeper

Hollywood star Jason Statham is all set to star in a thriller film titled The Bee Keeper.

Miramax Studios has bought the script written by Kurt Wimmer for a seven-figure sum and is currently looking for a director to helm the film.

The film is described as a lightning-paced thriller that is deeply steeped in the mythology of Bee Keeping.

Statham will produce the film along with Wimmer and Miramax CEO Bill Block. The production is set to begin in 2022.

The film will mark the third collaboration between the actor and Miramax studios. Statham recently starred in the studio's Guy Ritchie's Wrath of Man. Meanwhile, Statham and Ritchie are working on another project, which is also produced by Miramax.
