Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans adds six more actors to its cast

Actors Mateo Zoryon, Francis-DeFord, Keeley Karsten, Birdie Borria, Alina Brace, and Sophia Kopera are the latest to join the cast of Steven Spielberg’s upcoming semi-autobiographical film, The Fabelmans, which is loosely based on the filmmaker's childhood.

The actors will join a cast that includes Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paul Dano, Gabriel LaBelle, Julia Butters, Judd Hirsch, Sam Rechner, Chloe East, Oakes Fegley and Isabelle Kusman.

Spielberg co-wrote the script with Tony Kushner of Lincoln and Munich fame.

Francis-DeFord, who is making his acting debut, will play the young, aspiring filmmaker at the centre of the story, with the other actors portraying his siblings at various stages of their lives. The film also marks the feature debut of Borria, Brace and Kopera.

The film is being produced by Spielberg, Kushner and Kristie Macosko Krieger.

Karsten first appeared on screen in Amazon’s Hunters, Evil Lives Here and the indie films Entanglement and Viceroy. Borria is playing a recurring role on Fox’s upcoming Pivoting, and will also appear in the upcoming season of Netflix’s You and Apple TV+’s Puppy Place. Kopera was previously seen in HBO’s Scenes From a Marriage, and she will soon be seen in the upcoming season of The Morning Show.
